Applications in food

Attention has been paid to food containing abundant sialic acid.

Caseino-glycomacropeptide

Sialic acid is contained abundantly in human breast milk and cow milk, and it protects the baby bodies. In particular, sialic acid is contained at a high content in the terminal region of κ-casein (caseino-glycomacropeptide), a constituent of milk. We have paid attention to caseino-glycomacropeptide that is produced during cheese manufacture. Caseino-glycomacropeptide contains sialic acid at a higher content than other foods and health food materials (refer to the figure), and great attention has been paid to it as a food material against influenza virus, etc. In addition, marked hair growth effects, etc. have been found in a recent joint study with a university.

We will continuously promote the development of caseino-glycomacropeptide (sialic acid-containing whey) with broad dietary experience as a food material to support your health.
